Deputy National Lead, Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Team, Public Health England

As Head of the Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) Prevention Programme at Public Health England (PHE), Katherine is responsible for providing national leadership on the locally delivered NHS Health Check programme which aims to prevent CVD in 15 million eligible people in England. Katherine also oversees PHE’s contribution to achieving the national CVD ambitions.

Passionate about tackling the growing burden of non-communicable disease by making it easy for the population to choose health promoting behaviours Katherine led the development of the first national physical activity care pathway: Let’s Get Moving. She has also overseen England’s National Child Measurement Programme, supporting families to understand and make changes to help their children achieve a healthy weight.
